3:45 Opening Comments/Questions Reflecting on the chapters 7 & 8, what about them did you find interesting and/or useful for your teaching practice?
4:00 Writing: Captions on index cards For each book or group of books that you brought to share, write a brief description that tells what the book can be used for; e.g. teaching a specific text structure or way with words. Add your name to each card.
4:15 An Invitation to Our Library · Place the books you brought with your descriptions around the room · After all have been placed, browse through the Library and jot down any books that you find appealing for your own development as a writer or for teaching writing. Think about goals for next year and planning for future lessons.
4:35 Reflection on Activity: Give One/Get One · Share an idea that you got from your “library walk” with the group. · Get an idea or comment about one of the books that you brought.
4:55 Goal Setting/Planning · Reflect on work done in study group and on future goals/plans · Complete feedback form
